P for Positivity

MONDAYmusings

I’ve been in Doha for a week and I swear it’s a challenge. New city, new apartment, new friends. Mum’s not around to feed me or clean up after my shit anymore so I’d better grow the hell up.

The past week had been pretty awesome. Inductions, housekeeping and rules. Then to training proper. Intensity is building with more and more new things to learn and memorise, and I realised that your attitude plays a very big role in shaping your day.

Today’s letter is brought to you by the letter P.

P = Positivity

Most of my peers are as excited, yet nervous, as I was for training. We try to be supportive of each other in and out of the class, helping each other out in any way that we could. There were a handful though that made me wonder why the hell are they even here.

They’re not only unmotivated, they complain day in and out about everything. A little bit of hard work was extremely difficult for them to handle and instead of putting more effort to trying to make things better, they go around moaning about it. Occasional negativity is fine, but every other hour? Oh good God, get away from me.

large-1

There are bound to be ups and downs (just like how my apartment water heater is always broken) but let’s face it. We have just 6 weeks of training left. And then we’ll be off flying around the world. Then time will fly by just like the two years I spent in Jetstar. Save up, enjoy the destinations and go with the flow. Positive attitude for the win.

Everyone’s tired, everyone’s missing home… everyone’s stressed over the information overload. So just suck it up and deal with it. Except when I’m hungry. I ALWAYS complain when I’m hungry.

Plus, it’s the month of May. It’s my favourit-est month. POSITIVITY!
